Favorite foods and Recipes?

We all are facing a week of temptations this week with delicious foods before us.  Many activities and family get togethers occur this time of year with all the really rich foods. I'm just want to encourage all our Weight Loss Buddies to find alternatives to our Easter menus and please share them with us if you will. Seriously, I'm looking for some ideas.

OOPS!

Weighed in today, but my scale showed no change I realize, I have been slack on drinking enough water, that always shows up on weigh-in day!  Hoping everyone is having a better day on the scale than I am!

Our Mindset

Are you still holding on the extra weight in your mind? What I mean is, do you still wear the clothes that are too large (now) because that is the way you are thinking about yourself? I was pleasantly surprised last evening while getting ready for a special meeting.  I tried on a fitted skirt that had been too snug and too short for my liking the last I wore it.  I had not tried it on again, since that time. But last night, I was able to wear it and feel comfortable. We must not only change what we can of unhealthy lifestyle, but...

A Sense of Humor

Oh twenty-five years ago, when I would lose weight, we would have a little papoose show up at our home in nine months!! I guess that is why I didn't put so much effort in shedding the extra weight.  Well, now I'm more seasoned and mature we still have no grandchildren. Maybe, if I lose the weight my son and dil would give us some good news!! I don't know if that will work, but at least I want to be a healthy grandma when the time finally does come!

To Good to Be True

Has this ever happened to you? I got on the digital scale this morning and it registered 11 pounds lighter that the last weigh in!! WOW, I thought that is too good to be true! So I reweighed and I was right, it was too good to be true!! That is why I only record my weight change once a week, because the weight can fluctuate so much from day to day and even throughout the day!

Clear Blue Sky and Sunshine

I don't know about you but I can almost smell spring in the air. I love it when our days become longer and the sunshines on the snow like millions of diamonds. Our diabetic dog, Toby, is loving it too. He cannot wait to go for his walk in the morning. He keeps me on track because what is good for him is good for me also! We certainly don't take leisurely walks when it is in the high 20's or low 30's, but the brisk walk and fresh air make us feel so much better.
