A night off HAHA

Felt a little flirty last night

Last night, for my tax office work, I wore this cute brown skirt and a leopard print top with my heels. I had a walk-in client see me and then requested that I do their taxes. My receptionist said that I should maybe wear that (with her finger circling about me) more often. I got several compliments about how good I look. It was a much appreciated ego-stroke. I was learning to relish it. After work, my husband, Keith, and I met up for dessert. Even he stopped and stared for a minute.....keep those ego strokes coming!! I have never been...

Squeezed it in

It was "tough", but I did it....I got to the YMCA after school (where I work), got a half hour in before I needed to leave for the tax office! I was only a half hour, but better than nothing, as I have decided! Admittedly, I felt great afterward. I sweated like a pig in a mud hole....it was a missed feeling..... More success than I thought

I will start off with an apology to the men on the website, as the reality is us women have monthly factors to our weight loss. With that in mind, Keith and I got to my measurements this morning, and I was surprised how many were down after no weight change yesterday. So, this allowed me to remember to check my calendar, and yes, theoretically, this is my week. So, weight loss is not really noticed until next week. Whew! My BF% is now at 50%, and my BMI is now at 37.7.....which those are both record lows for me!! Yippee! All...

Learning to make adjustments

Okay, not really sure where this past week went, but I know that I no longer have it. I could have used a few more days in it.....I only managed to workout twice last week (boo, hiss) and lost only one pound last week. But as most say, at least I didn't gain. My H&R Block job has gotten really busy since the military have had their W-2's released. And when we have 3(urg, 2 now) bases around us, that is a lot. I have Ft Lewis (army), McChord (air force, which meshed back into Ft Lewis), and then Bremerton (navy)....

Painlfully slow

Today, with the sun shining and beaming, I got a bit of the "Spring Fever" bug. I decided that today was a good day to try my "old" 5K training route again. I should have thought twice, and opted not too! It got figgin' cold and my fingers turned real red. I could barely concentrate on the run at all. Last fall, I had my time down to 38min 20sec....today was 65min 20sec. OUCH! And, I blame it on the chilly air, and silly me for not thinking about gloves. BOSU BALL CLASS

So, let's start off with if you know what a Bosu Ball is? Until the class, I didn't know either. It is the half ball with a hard plastic flat side to it, which I have only seen in blue. They are mainly used for stability.....ha! or so I thought!! I was at the YMCA last night, and I took that class. Oh SCHROEDER stretch your fingers

**SNOOPY DANCE** **SNOOPY DANCE** Occasionally, my husband and I will do re-weighs on Tuesdays when Monday wasn't so kind. And I am so happy that we do!! Yesterday was happy to have not gained, but after taking my water pill, I weighed in with a 3 pound loss this morning!! Woohoo!!! What does this mean? This means I have broke the 70 pound mark, and also am now only 3 pounds from my halfway point!! Since I have joined WLB, I have lost 45 pounds!!! The lesson of the day........take your  "make you go pee now" water pills!!!!

The little engine that did not

I didn't make my goal of 70 pounds this week. But I have to be okay with this....it was a crazy, horrible week, and the fact that I lived through it says something. The cold snap that we had last week almost put me down for 2 days. I was fighting of migraines. See, I have arthritis in my neck, and with the cold and the arthritis it will really irritate the muscles. So, my neck was unmovable stiff, and blood flow to my head was restricted with muscles ceasing up on me. As I was getting over that, a "flu bug...

12 week challenge at the YMCA

The YMCA will finally be starting the 12-week Challenge that they have gotten me so excited about. We did preliminary info, and redid my strength test for the ActivTrax program. The coach that was working with me that day was really surprised how strong I am getting. Good thing we did another strength test!! I am glad that the cold snap that we have had here in Western WA has finally broken. It was really wreaking havoc on my arthritis in my neck....My hubby and I are talking about moving somewhere warmer in a couple of years when my son...

I am lovin' Mondays!!

I do my weigh-ins and measurements on Monday mornings...almost literally right out of bed. This morning was no exception.... Here are my results: Neck: No change Chest: No change Waist: DOWN 1 1/2 inches Hips: DOWN 1/2 inch Thigh: DOWN 1/4 inch Calf: DOWN 1/4 inch Weight: DOWN 3 pounds ( I would have liked 4, but now I am only 1 pound away from hitting my 70pounds gone mark....so next Monday) We can do this.... We have to stick to our plans and our promises to ourselves. Thank you for my friends here at WLB.....you inspire me, encourage me, and motivate me!! Let's do this~~

Success on the Tailgate!!

Woot! to all my football comrades.....Here it is, half-way through the second game, and it has already been one heck of a day!!! But, to start off with, I wanted to share my success on a "healthier" football party. I made up a veggie tray, made my own Ranch (to reduce the fat), made our own cheesecake (again, MUCH less fat), and grilled up some Flank with a low calorie sauce, and stir fried onions, peppers, and mushrooms for on top! Man, what a day that was

Yesterday was my first "super busy" day with my new second job. I had school (I am a lunch lady), workout, tax office with dress rehearsal.  I meal planned the night before, and that really helped....for the most part. After my second job last night, I just felt soooo hungry.....and, I regretted the Burger King stop shortly after eating....but, there it is. I think the lack of protein in the form of meat was my dinner down fall. I have adjusted my meal plan today to reflect that issue. My workout wasn't as long as I normally would have gone, so I...

I did my ActivTrax program at the YMCA yesterday. I got a message saying that I couldn't adjust the weights anymore until I get another strength test. My Y coach said that she has been waiting for someone to finally get that message and was very pleased that it was me!! So, I get another strength test next Monday. This means that the program is ready to up my weight capacity in my workouts. YES!!!!! The 12-week program at the Y starts Jan 17. I am very excited about it too! My hubby and I got to my measurements today! I usually do a weigh in and measurements on Monday mornings. Being out of town last week, we slacked off a bit. But we got all caught up today (thank goodness for school starting again, and getting back into routine).
