Long time No see

I know, I know.....Where have I been? How have I been? What have I been up to lately?

Well, first, I had to tell the tax office that I needed them to back off on the hours. Last week it all cam crashing down on me. I got on the scale, who definitely was the worst friend/best enemy of the week. It's digitalized intelligence informed me that I had gained ten pounds back!! EEEECCCCCKKKK!! I feared that was the case because I was getting the "I'm fat" feeling again. Jeans had been getting tighter, and the reality check need to clear the brain bank. Then, I had to go and ask my husband to help with the measurements. Ugh! But what else could go wrong. So, I had to let something break. And I let the tax office go.

Meanwhile.... I went to the eye doc, and he wasn't concerned about my diabetes after looking into my eyes. He said that he could tell that I had it in control. My astygmatism is getting worse, but not much, and he wasn't alarmed over it. I have prescription sunglasses coming, and new transitions as well. I am looking forward to them. They are fun pairs of glasses.

Also, went to my family doc for my diabetes update yesterday. This is where it gets really good, so be sure to have a chair handy (if for some strange reason you are standing as you read this).... My A1c's are 6.5!!! Holy Crappy!! Not sure how I managed to get better control over it. November I tested at 6.8, unto which I was happy about. Since I was diagnosed with Diabetes 3 1/2 years ago, this is the LOWEST result I have had!

SNOOPY DANCE

Lastly, I got my bicycle. I have had it on lay-a-way for a couple of months now, and picked it up today. I decided that a new bike needed new work out clothes. Wal-mart had a fantastic clearance sale on clothes. I went to the bike shop and the sales guy was AWESOME. Could have hugged him, and will probably go back tomorrow for that. I already went for a 2.2 mile ride on my bike, and loved every minute of it. A little chilly, and knit gloves are now in the basket. But otherwise, an AWESOME adventure! I am looking forward to making that my commuter vehicle with spring coming. Work is only 3 miles away, and there is 3 miles between work and the YMCA (for my strength training). Then after, I will ride 6 miles home. With beautiful sunny weather due ANY day now (although I think Mother Nature needs another memo reminding her of some key details), I am looking forward to working my new plan!

Ahh, a good day indeed. Now pass the jello shot!
