Things are gonna get easier

Got a call from my foot doctor yesterday. I am having on of my 2 surgeries on Friday. I hope that I get my left leg done first. I am having laser surgery for the vericose veins in my ankles. I need to get both legs done. The left leg is the worse of the two, so I am rooting for that one. If the infection is still in the leg, they will continue to treat the sore, and do surgery on the right leg instead. Down time is 24 hours or so, and I can get the other leg done in a week! I am so excited. I have had this sore on my ankle for 9 months now, and it certianly affects my workouts. My foot throbs so bad after a workout. I try to do the low foot impact, like the eliptical, but it doesn't help much.

Trying to be good otherwise. Really struggling with the loneliness eating, now that the tax office has dramatically slowed and I am at home during the night while my hubby works. Ugh! The radio helps. My husband comes home, and wonders why there is noise in every room. He is getting the fact that I need noise to not feel so alone. He grew up in a home where he was the only child, and doesn't understand really what it is like to grow up with 3 other syblings. There was noise ALL the time. My mom was the neighborhood mom, which meant the ENTIRE neighborhood came to our house for playtime and snacks. I remember during winter my mom having a big canning pot full of hot chocolate. And lots of toast, so when are shoes were soaked we would line them next to the heater, and let them dry while we watched a movie and warmed up on hot chocolate and toast. Nope, never a quiet moment in the house. Dad and I snored loud. The only quiet moment was when the house was empty!

Hope everyone has a great day.
