So, I decided last night that I needed to come up with something that would motivate me more than just the weight coming off since I can get discouraged easily when I don't see it coming off as fast as I would like to see it come off. What I came up with was a rewards system. For every ten pounds I lose, on time, I get something that I REALLY wanted. We don't have a lot of extra spending money so I always feel guilty getting something that I really wanted when I don't feel like I deserved it. This way--I have earned it!!
This is what I came up with:
1. -10 lbs by Nov. 27, 2009: Trip to the salon for a new look
2. -20 lbs by Jan. 1, 2010: Get to eat out at Buffalo Wild Wings (where my husband and I went last year for new years)
3. -30 lbs by Feb. 5, 2010: Get new lingerie to show off the new body for Valentine's Day
4. -40 lbs by March 12, 2010: New tattoo
5. -50 lbs by April 16, 2010: ?? (Haven't come up with one yet. Any suggestions?)
The time lines are based on an average of 2 lbs a week. I have also been debating if I should do something if I can reach my goal before the dates set. What do you think?
