I have decided to try something new

Everyday I keep track of my food points in a journal.  On each page other than food points I also keep track of whether or not I have exercised, I keep a journal, and I make a daily change.  For the upcoming week, starting on Monday, I am going to change what is written in my daily change section.  Instead of food changes (i.e instead of chocolate, eat fat-free pudding) I am going to make personal changes.  I have already decided what each day is going to be and I plan on working on them throughout the week. At the end...

Also, for those of you who read the recipe for the crab cakes, I made them.  They weren't as good as I thought they would be.  I think I am going to come up with a different recipie...And don't worry, if I come up with a better one I will make sure to post it for all to enjoy!!

Any one local post 2

Is there anyone on this site that lives in NC? I have tried this before but haven't been so successful. I would really like to find someone to help me be accountable for my eating and exercise habits.  I was thinking that we could have completions where we could exercise together and call each other when we were having a bad day.  Then at the end of the month the loser could buy the other dinner, or a cup of coffee, or pay for their movie, etc. If there is someone else, who isn't in NC, but would like to work out...

Food For Thought

Food For Thought When we were young girls, so fresh in our teens We'd go on our diets, to look good in our jeans! And of course, at that age, we'd starve now and then The obvious reason, was to look good for men! Then, in our 20's, we'd push food away To look good for the boyfriends, we chose for the day! Our 30's, the same "sorry, cannot eat that My guy may not love me if I start getting FAT! Thank God, in our 40's, we've learned from mistakes We must push away pizza and candy and cakes.. So we feel good, feel healthy, love ourselves once again Then...

What are you waiting for?

“Procrastination is the fear of success. People procrastinate because they are afraid of the success that they know will result if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy, carries a responsibility with it, it is much easier to procrastinate and live on the “someday I’ll” philosophy.” --Denis Waitley Now is the time to do something.  I have recently restarted and revamped a team called Birth Control Babes.  Everyone is welcome to join as long and they are dedicated, are willing to try, and are going to stay active on the team.  Below is a little about what we are...

Week Two Goals

To kick off the new month and trying to get back on track I created a list of things that I had to keep track of in my food journal.  They are as follows... In your journal: 1. Write one reason why you are trying to lose weight and weigh that against junk food every day 2. Keep track of all foods you eat with the points 3. Make a small change everyday.  EX: Instead of eating chocolate eat fat free chocolate pudding 4. Make sure to eat foods that are not only healthy but you love them.  Make it a treat everyday. 5. Always eat...

01-02-2010

Yesterday I went to eat at Zoe's Kitchen.  They claim that they only have healthy food choices so I figured that it would be okay to eat there.  When I got home and attempted to look up the food that I ate to figure the points, I was unable to find the nutritional value.  Makes me question how healthy the food is.  If anyone can help me find the information that would be great!! Later I ended up going over my points for the day.  I am hoping that if some one can find the nutritional information for the Mediterranean tuna...

Back in the game

Fell out of the swing of things the last month.  Luckily I only put on two pounds.  Since so many have decided to join my group and I was just named buddy of the month, I need to start being active on this site again.  I have restarted my diet three days ago.  I have designed these logos to place on my desktop to keep me motivated.  I hope that you will find them as motivational as I do (just ignore the date and weight goals, unless they are the same for you as they are for me).  If anything, I...
