Day 5

One thing I'm learning while counting calories, is that it's easier to for-go the mayo/caloric dressings than to count them and be hungry later! Not to mention, who needs any xtra fat!
Tomorrow my son has talked me into going back to the gym. The only thing that bums me out about going are the limitations on my activities right now.
I'm feeling a little frustrated as well. Major knee pain, probably because I can't stay off it the way the doctor wants me to. Ice is a major helper, but the results are so short lived. I've been averaging
1 dose of pain medication a day to try and manage.(I don't use daily -just on unbearable days when I cannot get off my knees like I should be), . The doctor that prescribed it is saying that is too much and they want to take me off completely -or better yet, send me to a pain specialist for something stronger.  I don't think I need anything stronger, what I was using worked just fine! Yet,they refuse to fix anything to help alleviate the pain so that I can do the things I need. Ironically when they first offered it to me, I declined it and  when they prescribed it to me anyway, they prescribed 12 a day! I thought I was doing good averaging 2 a day when they approved 12! She made me feel like I was some strung out heroin addict that sits on the sofa, stares at the wall, and drools!
I feel like I am doing everything I can do just checking in here and following my diet plan everyday. That is really ALL I can do! I sure wish weight loss could happen a hell of a lot quicker.

Maxed out  my calorie goal today at 1450 which included: 3 chicken tenders, two chicken patties, 3 hamburger buns, 6 sweet pickles,1- 6in Subway Turkey (loaded w/veggies and no dressings-280 cals, and way more filling than 1 slice of Caesars pizza), 2 tbs. lite ranch, 3 c/c cookies, 1 c. milk and a few nuts.  I feel like I ate too much.

Day 4

Today I spent 1171 calories, almost 300 under. I wasn't really trying to go under my goal calories, it just happened that way, and I've been comfortable with it today. My calories consisted of:

1 slice Caesars Sausage Pizza (a whopping 270 cals!) 4 oz chicken, 1 hamburger bun, 4 sweet pickles, 3 small chicken tenders, 4tbs light ranch, salad, and chips ahoys and milk.
Over 100oz water.

I'm thinking of weighing again Friday.

Once again, thanks for everyone here. My seven year old has been counting calories now and I think my husband is sick of hearing me count calories, so it's nice to be where people understand my doing so!
 Hang in there everyone!

A new study shows that for each pound of body weight lost, there is a 4-pound reduction in knee joint stress among overweight and obese people with osteoarthritis of the knee.

   Sounds great, but..
that also means that for each pound of body weight you carry, there is four pounds of xtra stress on the knee
s  . Be careful with the exercise you choose. If choosing jumping, running, or high impact exercise, you can eat through your knee cartiliage like it's candy.
