Day8 A little about me...

     I keep forgetting to add my salads in the list, which I eat daily. Everything I eat is primarily loaded with veggies: spinach, broccoli, ect. I limit higher carb veggies such as carrots. My calories usually include light dressing/measured to the serving.
     Since I am completely out of the shopping picture now because my right knee no longer supports my weight to walk (I refuse to ride an electric cart.)My husband does our shopping he does his best, but he does have 6 kids (only 1 has a problem such as I with weight) nagging him...there is already enough pressure around here without him worrying about buying the kids treats because 2 of us need to learn to control ourselves.well..the cookies are my problem to keep out of my mouth. No one in my family has been waving them under my nose. In fact, for such a large family they have all cooperated greatly.
     I can't get my "about you" section to save to my wall for some reason so I'd like to share a bit about me
I have seven kids, six of which live at home. 6 boys 1 girl. ages: 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 18, 20.  I have a wonderfully, understanding husband. He's a skinny guy, who's never had to worry about what he eats ect. He doesn't nag me. He found me this way, married me this way, and would love me if I had to always be heavy. He does his best to help me (and my daughter) in any way he can.
     Since I was 12, I have lost 60-100 lbs and regained it probably...6 times.
      I am not a sedative person, and hate the couch, sleeping in regularly, and being stuck indoors all the time. My b/p, sugars and cholesterol are well within normal range, mainly because of my activity.  I always regained my weight because I would quit tracking what I put in my mouth. Let's face it, a lot of us cannot have 800 calorie Frappaccino's from Starbucks or that of the like! Even if you burn every calorie of it on an elliptical!
I was nearly 300lbs 2 years ago, my heaviest ever. Of course, it was after having my LAST child.  I lost 50 lbs over a year (the slowest weight loss I've accompolished ever) and have maintained that loss over another year. I've blown my knees out with exercise trying to lose the rest of  the weight over a period of time.--I'm only 39, I need 20 more years to raise my kids.So far I have been told that if I do not get my extra weight off, they will not replace my knees.  If I don't find the best way my body works to get the weight off as soon as possible then I will be in a wheelchair.  I cannot even run after the baby -if he ran for the street and I had to catch him...ughh..the frustration.
     I have nutritionists, and doctors working with me to find the best way to lose the weight the fastest. I will probably  be seeing a specialist (Dr. Sugarman haha). I have worked with him in the past, during my college career, and lost 70 lbs over a six month period.  He uses phentermine, fish oils, 5http, hormone creams and the like.
     My doctor and nutritionist agree that there are certain situations which may carry a true need for rapid weight loss. I fit in this category. They are working with me to discover what combination makes my fat unlock..Everyone's body is different. Not everyone's body fits into the "mainstream".  To accomplish weight loss everyone has their own combination of factors they need to discover to be successful in what way they are looking for.
     I missed logging my day yesterday. It was a horrible eating day because I was not feeling well at all. Fricken knee pain, and feeling sorry for myself. Spent most of it icing and running the family taxi.

  560 12"subway, 1c milk100, 4 cookies (ugh), 1/2 c cereal with 1/8 cu milk 50
I LOVE WLB!!

 

Day 7

Hi everyone:
Just a quick report to keep me honest and responsible for the day.

1220 calories consumed today
Just couldn't leave the cookies alone .
cookies:300          5 chicken fingers240      1c milk 100      9 in. of Subway roasted chicken 540

Really, really, gotta learn to just forgo the cookies.
