SCREW IT!!

OK, So, I got up this morning, dropped everyone off as usual. Went to the gym. Tortured myself on several devices for a liltle over an hour. By the time I'd left the gym I'd drank over 60 oz of water, and figured I better get weighed before taking on anymore. On the way to taking my husband lunch, I stopped at the Dr.s and weighed.....249 a-freaking-gain... When I told my husband he said, " At least it wasn't 250 or more... Hey..the point is, I kept my head high last week when the scale didn't budge--but this is week two of it...

Day 28

Hi WLB's    Weigh in was kind of a disappointment today. I weigh the same as last week at 249.  I guess a ten pound loss in a month isn't bad, but I was really hoping to do just a tiny bit better. I was hoping to be down to 246 today. But alas, Friday comes soon enough, and I am sure that the scale will show some movement the right direction by then!     I had an incredibly active day today. I started out  dropping everyone off where they needed to be. Came home for a half hour and weeded and...

Day 25

Hi everyone, I feel really redundant sometimes coming here every single night and blogging about what I stick in my mouth and what I do to sweat! I even started to feel a little silly about it tonight and was thinking, "what makes you think anyone really wants to read a blog every night about what you eat or do for exercise for the day?"...  This whole blogging thing has really helped me to stick to things better. So to all of you out there, whether you read my blogs or not--Thank You. Without this opportunity I probably wouldn't be keeping any kind...

Day 21

Hi everyone, Another completely chaotic day today . Spent the entire day in the doctors office with various kids having various problems. It was especially bad for eating as all I could grab was a yogurt this morning before the gym. I didn't eat again until about 4-5pm. It was a great day in the respect that the three pounds I gained on Wednesday, was magically gone-along with an extra pound  I think I have learned not to weigh in during that "magical" time of the month! Today I started out early. After dropping kids off at school and hubby off to...

Day 20

Hi WLB's,      Struggled once again with eating today. I really need to get some soups, and lean pre-cooked protein in the house. My main problem is  what is on the menu. I didn't get to exercise today. My little guy hasn't been feeling very good, fever etc, and wouldn't let me leave his side. I sure hope I don't end up with it. I've already had some major headache and some flip floppy stomach going on.  I consumed 950 cals today. The menu consisted of: 2 yogurts, 1 string cheese, 2 s/f pudding cups, 1 serving chips, coleslaw (trying to get...

hmmm..

This site appears to have a sales pitch, but after reading some of it, the information does appear to have validity as well. It is always so difficult to tell what is just at pitch and what is genuine. I would say after looking at this site that it has some decent information on it. I believe that the "3 day zig zag" is very likely to work well for some of us "dieters". Anyway, just wanted to share this site, as it appears to have a few tips on it that may be useful to some. http://www.weightlossforall.com/starvation-mode.htm

Day 19

Hi all WLB's, Had a good day today, except for the stupid scale issue. Did 45 min weights/cardio at the gym. Drank over 100 oz of water. Consumed 730 cals Menu consisted of: 2 yogurts, 2oz summer sausage, 1 hamburger patty, 1 hamburger bun, 4 sweet pickles, tomato's, onions, 2 s/f puddings. I know my calorie intake is pretty low, but I have tried to eat more often today, so I wasn't very hungry. Hang in there all  How do you eat an elephant? ONE BITE AT A TIME!

I refuse to be frustrated by a stupid mechanical instrument!!!

OK, so the stupid scale finally got me. But I am not going to let it get to me, even if it already has just a little bit!! I weighed in 3lbs heavier today than last Friday. There is no feasible way that I have gained 3 lbs. My average daily calories hasn't gone over 1200 cal's since I started. I am going to chalk it up to that woman thing that goes on. I'm going back in on Friday to weigh. I know it will look better then. It's all good...... How do you eat an elephant? ONE BITE...

Day 16, 17, 18

Just got back from a little mini vacation with my hubby. Spent 2 nights at our beautiful Pismo Beach. It rained just a little. It was a nice little break to catch our breath! Day 16 Spent 1400 calories Menu consisted of: yogurt, clam chowder, shrimp, summer sausage, cheese, crackers, 3 red vines, 2 small pieces of chocolate Went on short walk down pier, it was very strenuous-not because of the exercise, but the pain. Day 17 Spent 1480 calories Menu consisted of: yogurt, summer sausage, s/f pudding, bagel w/cream cheese, clam chowder, a few fries, 3 red vines, 4 oz fried clams.--Fried clams are reallllllllly high...

Day 15

Hi WLB's, Decent day today. Got my hour in at the gym on the weights. Spent over an hour walking in Walmart (icing now, ugh) Spent 1103 cals today, the menu consisted of: chicken noodle soup, 1 chicken thigh,             6oz lean tri-tip, 1/4 g c potato salad, 1/4c macaroni salad. (I know I'm short of veggies). drank 100 oz plus of water We can get there together everyone, keep working at it.

Day 14

Good evening WLB's Some small sense of accomplishment has smitten my ego for making it two weeks. I weighed two fewer pounds than my last weigh in today. I am scared to death of hitting my plateau. I am scared to death of that scale not moving down, or worse yet---.  Everyone has these times and I know it has to be getting close to mine. For today-no gym again. That wasn't the plan, I was ready to go at 3. You may know how it is with kids. I was beckoned to the school at 3, so my gym time was...

Day 13

Hi WLB's,      I have struggled and forced myself to write my blog tonight. i let my husband talk me out of the gym !  (of course it is all HIS fault..haha ...). My body feels like it was worked pretty hard the last couple of days and my muscles are sore and tight (as hubby pointed out ). Tomorrow is another day.   I really don't feel horribly guilty about not going. I do need to get a swimsuit ordered and get my a** back in the pool! I made sure I did a lot of stretching today.      My calorie intake...

Day 12

Yesterday, I was "enjoying" my lowfat/lowcal/turkey sub. loaded with veggies and on healthy oat bread.  Amazing how expensive that bread turned out to be for me. I somehow crunched oat just wrong and cracked my filling and my entire tooth down the middle. No dental insurance, to fix it 1,800-2,000!!! (I am on kind of a pity pot at this point) They offered to pull it but since the stinking thing is in my smile line, and I am horribly vain about my teeth and facial appearance, I chose to leave it until I can figure out an option to not...

Day 11

Hi everyone, I started back at the gym today. I spent an hour doing cardio/low-weight on  nataulis. I should have been happy with that but had to push it 15 minutes on the recumbent bike (no resistance). Am icing knees now, I think I'll stick with weights and try the pool instead next time. I really tried to up my calories a little bit today. I am sure I need to do better,. Phentermine is maybe working too well. Thinking about investing into protein mix. 6" subway/veggie loaded no dressings 280     chicken breast, cranberries, salad 400    pudding  250       930 total HANG IN THERE...

Day 10

I weighed today and am down from 258 when I started here to 253 today. It has been a good day for me today. Spent a lot of time speaking with weight loss specialists, doctors, and nutritionists I did confirm that I have polycystic ovarian syndrome: I guess that is supposed to really hinder weight loss. That may explain why I have held so steady over the last year regardless of my attempts at a healthy lifestyle and weight loss. There has been enough hinderences and limitations already. I started taking phentermine today. Let's see if that helps! Check in today consists of...

Day 9 Yesterday: I did not BLOW it!

We received our little return, which meant an evening at the buffet with the family. I had been planning to start a hypoglycimic diet someone told me about which involved eating on the hour. But instead, I did what everyone warns not to do, and saved my calories for my evening meal at Hometown Buffet. I don't know how many calories I ate. I don't care either.  I do know that I drank lot's of water with my meal. I ate a lot of veggies: salad, spinach leaves, cabbage, green beans ect. My protein was turkey. And I tasted a few...
