Went to buy some work clothes last night. Found some pants on clearance, which was good because they are loose (but the next size down was still too tight for working in!) and I won't be wearing them very long! I had to go to a different department for my polo shirts because the smallest size in the Plus-size Department was too small! That sure made me feel good. I used some of the money my aunt left me to buy a netbook at the Dell outlet store! I got a really good deal (and 20% off!) and now I won't have to...

Got a nice (and a little sad) surprise in the mail yesterday. My dear Aunt Marion, who died about a month ago, left us all some money ($500.00 each). Maybe not a lot to some people but a HUGE help for me! Considering she left this amount to each of us--she has 13 or 14 nieces and nephews--AND a nice amount to my mom who is her only surviving sister--she must have managed her money VERY well!) Now I'll be able to go back to work next week and not worry about my pants falling off! Got in a really good cardio...

Having a good day so far. Took my measurements and am down 2 inches in my hips, 1 in my chest and .75in my waist. I was really hoping to lose more inches in my waist but, to be honest, I never did have much of a waist--not even the one other time I lost a lot of weight (20+ years ago!) so I guess I'll have to live with that!   Mary and I went for a walk to Starbucks this morning. Wow, its been a while since I wrote a new post! I've been doing pretty well--had a couple of slipups with my eating but, overall--not bad. Been working out every day and walking more. This week I didn't lose any weight but I did notice that my new jeans are comfortable when I put them on (right out of the dryer!) instead of only getting comfortable after wearing them a few times! I bought a game called Dance U at Big 5 yesterday. It plugs into the tv and has 3 types of games and 12 levels each. Its a bit like DDR...

Ladies-Please Read-VERY IMPORTANT!!

I'm getting concerned about the number of women here who are trying to lose weight by reducing their calories to starvation levels. Our bodies need enough fuel to run properly! Did you know that if you don't eat enough your body will hang on to every ounce it can? It does this because it thinks you are starving! There are many good articles on the web that prove this. Well, Jenny came home late this afternoon and now she's sleeping. She's teary and upset but won't talk about it so we're not pushing it. I wish I knew what was going on with her! Otherwise--I'm staying within my calorie limit, wotking out and drinking LOTS of water! I need to think about how to schedule my workouts because I go back to work on Feb.1. Hopefully, my supervisor will let me know my schedule before then!

Well, it's been 4 days since anyone here has heard from Jenny (my youngest) and over a week since she's been home. I just pray she's all right. Patrick--who pays most of the expenses here--has been sleeping on the couch because he wanted us to have the rooms. (We are planning on walling off the bonus room, though, so we'll have another bedroom.) Well, since Jenny hasn't been here for more than 5 days out of the last 30, we decided he should get the room. Today started out badly. I just couldn't seem to get motivated to do my workout. I always get depressed while looking for jobs. I have a seasonal job that will restart in a couple of weeks but I still need to search for work in order to get unemployment. Depressing, because, even though I know I'll be back at work soon I can't help thinking of all those others who have no propects in sight. There are no jobs out there! Its getting harder and harder to find one to apply for, never mind 3 a week! I'm hoping that this...

Jan 6 (almost 7)

Had a good day today. Got my workout and yoga done first thing and then looked for new recipes online. Found some really good ones at eatbetteramerica.com. I'm so glad my ds wants to eat better and is joining me in this. He sure doesn't need to lose much weight--maybe 10-15 pounds--but he definitely needs to eat better foods!

Weighed in today and I'm under my pre-Thanksgiving weight again! YAY! Didn't do a regular workout because I've been busy undecorating. Hopefully< I'll have time to get on the bike later. First, though, I'm going shopping with my daughter Mary and I hope to find some new shoes for my new workout routines.
