Let's talk about boot camps.
I don't want to tell you about boot camps, because frankly, I don't know anything about boot camps. But I am interested in knowing more (see, this blog not only allows me to tell you things, but to learn things too).
I remember getting something in the mail about a weight loss boot camp-I don't know much about the stipulations other than that it is 5 days a week for one hour a day for 6 weeks (I think), and that I got a coupon for $20 off.
Now, I didn't look into it much, but I'm thinking any organization or program that is offering a $20 off coupon has got to be expensive, am I right?
I've talked to some people that said these things typically cost a couple hundred dollars. Which leads me to ask, what do you get for a couple hundred dollars? Five days a week, one hour a day is at least what I typically do at the gym. What is the difference between the gym and boot camp?
Does someone scream in your face? Do you do more rigorous routines? What makes boot camp a better workout?
I know there are all kinds of boot camps, for instance my friend made me aware of a bridal boot camp, obviously appealing to brides-to-be to help them slim down to fit into their gowns. Are these boot camps as rigorous as the average boot camp?
