Fish tacos. Mmmmmmmm. Wait, I've never had fish tacos.
But I want to.
Today at work, I was proofing a page written by our food columnist about her travels to California and the most delicious fish tacos she's ever had in San Diego. I'm traveling to San Diego in two weeks, and while I've never considered eating a fish taco before, her story made me cravvvvvvvve them.
Basically, a fish taco is a soft shell taco with a few strips of grilled white fish, a cabbage slaw and a lime zesty sauce-or at least that's what it is in her description. She described this mouth-watering sensation that came with each taco she ate. She also said, after having the first one, she needed to have at least one fish taco meal per day for as long as she was there. To me, these tacos sounded absolutely delicious.
Still, fish tacos are not the topic of this post, sadly. What I really want to talk about is words that make you want foods you never thought of eating. When trying to lose weight, my guess is it would be better to avoid reading food columns and books that rave about a particular and particularly fattening food.
So here's what I want to know: what have you read that has made you want to eat something naughty? What was it you wanted to eat, and was it as good as it sounded once you were eating it?
