I don't know why, and I wish it weren't so, but despite all of my efforts, I just can't get into salads.
Here is why:
-They take too long to make (that is, cut up the lettuce, each vegetable, etc.)
-They don't taste as good (to me) as a sandwich or something else with bread in it, because I love bread.
-No matter what dressing I choose, I always end up hating it and then it's all over my salad, so naturally, I end up hating my salad.
-It costs a lot to buy all of the ingredients to make a really good salad.
-I never end up eating the ingredients fast enough and they end up going bad.
I think that's enough reasons for now. I wish I could get into them, because I know that if I ate salads, then I would at least be eating healthier than I do now. But in order to actually like my salad, I fear I would be dumping additions that are high in calories and fat on top of them. This article explains how a salad can actually work against you depending on what you put on it:

So, I'm looking for suggestions. What do you do to your salads to make them interesting enough to eat every day, yet not extremely high in calories?
