Teaming up can help you reach your goals

This is a story that made me think about the value of teams, and I wanted to share it with everyone so that if they are not on a Weight Loss Buddy team, they can think about joining one.

These staff members in the Compton Unified School District are banding together to try and lose weight with more than $9,000 in cash prizes at stake that are being provided by the district’s insurance broker.

First, kudos to the insurance broker for seeing the necessity in having district employees maintain healthy lifestyles.

Second, and most importantly, kudos to the staff members attempting to lose weight.

I think with shows like the Biggest Loser and Celebrity Fit Club, even though we watch contestants struggle to lose the weight and to reach the prize, we get this illusion that losing weight may be easier than we think. Well, it’s not.

It’s not easy and it’s not fun. You have to change your entire life around, and for these people, it means finding the time in their busy days to put themselves in the top of their priority lists.

Anyways, the staff members have gotten into 61 five-member teams and are following the 50 Million Pound Challenge. They attend weekly weigh-ins and are given recipe cards to help guide them on their weight loss journeys.

Here is a link with more information about their journey:

Achieve your goal

It is not only convenient to get anything from a math degree to a psychology degree online, but it can also be less costly than traditional college or universities, too. Often, since online schools do not have a physical campus, they do not need to charge as much for attendance. Things like housing, campus building upkeep and cafeteria facilities are not typically offered, and so the cost of attendance is just tuition and books. In addition, most online education programs offer some form of financial aid. And the cost of online degrees earned from an accredited institution can often be offset with federal financial aid as well…………..
