I know I'm definitely guilty of mistake no. 1: thinking products that say "whole grain" or "whole wheat" actually is made of whole wheat.
The answer to this food mistake is to look for foods that specifically say "100 percent whole wheat"
One tip I never knew that might be useful is to have a drink of wine or beer with dinner if you are going to have a drink anyway. According to the article, when you drink the alcohol with food, the alcohol enters your blood stream slower and is eliminated quicker from your body.
