How do you celebrate your weight loss?

First, happy holidays to those who celebrate Passover. Be good!

I wanted to take a moment to talk about celebrating weight loss. Whenever I'm happy about something, I feel the urge to celebrate.
Unfortunately, celebrations in our society often revolve around food.

A piece of cake sounds like one of the best celebration treats when I feel like I've done something right, but I know it's not the right kind of celebration.

I'm looking for a new way to celebrate weight loss and the proud occassion when I do lose it.

Any suggestions? How do you celebrate your weight loss?

If it has to be something sweet then go get a frozen yogurt or smoothie. My favorite Roebeks smoothie has only 200 healthy calories.

I usually celebrate by eating something I shouldn't or buying smaller clothes. These days I'm trying to reward myself with things that don't include food; like a massage. I'm trying to change that in my kids too. I usually reward with ice cream or some type of food, but now I'm trying to do it different so they don't have my same hang ups with food as I do. Like last week when my daughter passed her test and got a new taekwondo belt, she wanted ice cream. I suggested a trip to the park and she was even more excited about that than ice cream. Lol.

I celebrate by going to see a movie or locking myself away for a couple of hours to read a book. Buying something is great if you have the money but since i feel guilty when i go to the movies because i try and do something active instead this is a great 'celebration' for me. Also I try and look at the bigger picture if I am tempted to celebrate with food. Each pound lost in my eyes is a celebration in itself i don't need to do anything else to celebrate because i am so happy that i've lost that pouns if that makes sense lol. Also recently I have been freezing chunks of fruit as I find this helps with sweet cravings and takes longer to eat than regular fruit so fills in time until the dreaded cravings pass.
Good lick and keep up the great work
