Biggest Loser Recap-Makeover Week!!!

Spoiler Alert: If you read to the end, you will know who went home on this week's episode.

This week was MAKEOVER WEEK, which is by far my, and many people's favorite episode in the season. It's the episode where the contestants get some new clothes, new hair and a fresh coat of makeup and are presented their family.

There's usually a few who are extra shockers: In my opinion, this season's were Darus, Michael and Sunshine.

Sunshine looked like a celebrity with her new hair and freshened face while Darus looked like a completely different person than when he started at the ranch, 132 lbs. heavier, and Michael, while he still has a ways to go, looked nearly 200 lbs. lighter, as he is.

After the contestants were greeted by their families, they enjoyed a song by singer/songwriter Ashanti.

The fun and fashion was not meant to last for long though as the players still had a challenge before the week's end. The challenge was a brutal one, where the contestants had to continuously climb a Jacob's Ladder (a ladder with rungs that keep moving downward, forcing you to continue to climb-similar to a stair stepper) above a pool. The first to fall in the pool would have a 1 lb. disadvantage at the weigh in, while the last to fall in, or the person who lasted the longest, would have a 1 lb. advantage at the weigh in.

Ashley fell in first with just over 3 minutes. Most of the other contestants lasted about 45 minutes. But the two that were most impressive were Koli and Darus who lasted TWO AND A HALF HOURS! I can't imagine being on that machine for 10 minutes let alone 2.5 hours, but that just goes to show how motivational the BL is. In the end, Darus gave up, letting Koli win and feeling a little down about his giving up.

The contestants returned to the ranch for their LCW. Jillian worked Ashley pretty hard to compensate for her disadvantage while Bob kicked Darus' butt also.

The weigh ins were to be expected, except for Koli who lost 15 lbs.! For being three weeks left in the show, I thought that was pretty impressive.

Sam and Michael fell below the yellow line and in the end, the votes were tied for both of them. When there is a tie, the person with the lowest percentage of weight loss goes home. Sam ended up being that person and lost an additional 2 lbs. at home.
