How can good food be bad for you!?

When we're faced with food options, we usually know what foods are "good choices" vs. what foods are "bad choices."

How do we know? Because we are told time and time again that fatty, fried, foods are bad for us and natural, high-vitamin containing foods are healthier.

But what happens when the foods we think are healthy aren't?

According to this article from MSN.com, some healthy foods are deceiving, leading you to believe they are healthy when they are really filled with fatty ingredients.

For example sushi, which, especially if you get a roll with brown rice, is fresh and full of nutrients and vitamins. But the mayonnaise or cream cheese can actually be filled with fatty calories.

Another unhealthy health food is dried fruit. While you think you are eating "fruit" you're really eating fruit preserved with and enhanced with loads of sugar and artificial ingredients.

Or how about wraps (instead of bread)? Here we think we are eating less calories, when sometimes, we are eating more than we would with a simple piece of toast with our sandwich.

A great personal example is when I went out to dinner tonight at TGI Friday's. I was excited to order what I thought was the "healthy" option-a salad. That salad had over 1,800 calories!!! So I ordered a grilled chicken dish with only 480 instead.

Check out the article-which of these foods surprised you?
