I was lucky enough to have some time today to take a nice long walk with the dog and think about nothing and everything all at once. And while I was reflecting, I thought about my favorite thing about losing weight.
Sure, we all like how our clothes fit better (or even better is when they don't fit at all because we're down a whole size and have to go out and get a whole new wardrobe). Or maybe it's the comments people make when they haven't seen you for some time and when they do again, you're 20 lbs lighter ("Oh my gosh, you look amazing, how did you do it?")
But I think my favorite thing about losing weight is the feeling I have of complete healthiness. After I've lost some weight, I feel lighter, leaner, and like every single breath I take goes through so much smoother and easier.
I can feel weight loss in the way I walk-after I've lost some weight, I can feel my legs are a little more muscle-y. I can feel weight loss in my face when I look in the mirror-my face feels a little bit tighter.
And more importantly, I hardly ever have belly aches or am feeling sick at all after I've lost even a little bit of weight.
This feeling of healthiness is what I strive to get back to everytime I've gained weight and always what I think about when I'm pushing myself to lose the weight again.
What is YOUR favorite thing about losing weight?
