    Shaylynn A Yoga Journey

    I did a short morning workout yesterday and plan another one this morning! i am just finishing up on my bike. The sun is shining so I am hoping for a walk today but I have to work all 3 of my jobs today. I never expected to be so busy! One job is 10am-6pm, another is 6 hoursn spread out after 6pm and on weekends. The third is for the business I have started. Yoga is so necessary to keep my body and mind calm!

    Had a wonderful yoga class on Friday - she focused on "Heart Openers" such a good focus just before Valentine's Day for body and mind. It was quite a workout I felt every muscle on Saturday. I was lazy in Sat and Sun now I have just finished work and trying to convince myself to get in some time on the mat.

    Hello, i would like to be known here as selestie. I am 41 years old, quite slim, weigh 49 kilos and am 155 cm. So what is the problem? The problem is I have an Asian body shape which means I am more prone to put on visceral fat. I am veggie and do not eat any meat or fish, i do not smoke or consume alcohol. Hence the scope of seeing huge change in a quick time is very very limited. I worry about putting on weight - sometimes I think I will do a weekly diet plan, sometimes I will think about exercising it off - just not consistent enough. I am happy to work with anyone who will keep me in check from time to time and offer encouragement. Am I in the right place? If not, where do I go? Thanks

    From down dog my yoga teacher suggests to go into 3 legged dog then swing you leg through so there is some momentum to get your foot up between your hands so you are in a high lunge position. It also helps if you are on your toes in down dog rather than flat footed. I missed my yoga class on Friday. It was the last day of the semester and I had just gotten access to my new classes (which start Monday) and I completely forgot.
