Hi. I am a 29 yr old mom of two kids. My heaviest was 295, i am now hanging out at 240lbs and cant seem to get past this range. I have been going to the gym 3 times a week and cut back portions. Im looking closer at my my diet and my goal is to lose another 80lbs. Im looking to make friends who have about as much weight to lose who we can help encourange and cheer on along the way.

Good job with going to the gym 3 x a week. Controlling portions is a good step as well. What has been key for me is to find my own personal selection of healthy, low-calorie food that I enjoy and can live with. Whether you count calories daily or not, knowledge is power and knowing the calorie content of what you are eating is essential.

Hi. I also have 80lbs more to lose. When you say exercise more are you already exercising? Do you have a specific goal like making it to the gym a few times a week or adding a daily walk? Also when you say eat healthier what goals do you have? Are you looking to cut carbs, count calories, watch portions, cut sugar? My best advice is when serting goals be as specific as possible and make one change at a time. I have a husband who is overweight as well and has no desire to make changes to his lifestyle which has been difficult to make changes without him on board. Is your fiance also wanting to become healthier or will you be in the same boat as me?
