hi everyone! I am new to the group today. Over 80 yrs. old but still want to live healthy. Currently have no major health issues other than weight, and work every day in my antique shop. My major problem is motivating myself to prepare meals for one person, so resort to snacking on convenience foods. My weight has gradually increased as a result. I live alone and after working in my shop, I am not active in the evening. I want to increase my activity and consume more fruits and vegetables and decrease carbs especially those with sugars. I am a retired home economics teacher and know a lot about nutrition. I need group involvement to help me stay on track. I once was a Weight Watcher member, and found belonging to a group to be helpful.

How's everyone doing? I have been doing pretty well....still stuck in that maintaining phase but considering all the birthdays and occasions I had this month I am happy I didn't gain. Has anyone peeked in on the team message board?

I would like to have someone hold me accountable. I could lose 15-20lbs. Insulin is high(71) and fasting glucose was 135. I am having a hard time-I am treated for hypothyroidism. I am female, 58 and disgusted. I starve myself on an average of 975 calories a day. I don't like to eat all day at my desk job but I do eat majority of calories between 4-9 pm. I wake up middle of night and eat but do it healthy/stay on calorie count.

Night times are tough...I feel weak during the night and tend to make bad decisions. One thing that helps is putting reminder notes on the outside of packages. I use post it's and say things like really? Are you sure you want this? etc. :)

just joined today. I am a senior woman and would like to lose about 10 pounds. Would love to have a buddy. I am mostly vegetarian and am very active for my age. I try to eat healthy, but sometimes have a hard time in the evening. Need to change some bad habits. Would love some support, and I will do the same.
